Mozuku Crab:
This crab is a member of the same genus and species of the famous edible “Shanghai Crab” (Chugoku Mozuku Crab). It is an important catch for inland fisheries and is consumed throughout Japan. We export freshly caught mozuku crabs from “April to the end of May for the spring season and from September to the end of November for the fall season.” The catch is not very high, ranging from 4 to 8 tons in the spring season and 18 to 26 tons in the fall season, so it is considered a rare foodstuff. In Hong Kong, when Shanghai crab from the mainland was not available due to dioxin concentration problems, exports of Japanese brand, Hokkaido, and natural crabs were well received.
Male Crabs: 125g~500g or more
Female Crabs: 75g~400g or more
